Merry Christmas, one and all (except this one kid who thought he was getting Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock)

We're having a great Christmas here in Michigan, celebrating under the portrait of "Day-After Santa" shown above.

Well, I should say, most of us are having a great Christmas. It hasn't been so great for one particular nephew, who was desperately hoping to receive Guitar Hero 3. Instead, due to some parental miscalculations, he received "Handbell Hero 3: Legends of the Liturgy." It features a simulation handbell operated by the gameplayer, who plays along with one Gladys Pemberton of the Morristown (NJ) United Church of Christ Handbell choir. You play your bell according to dots that pass by on the screen; because of the nature of handbells, one comes along only about once every 15 seconds or so. Mistakes are met with a mild reprimand by the choir director.

Hopefully, he will enjoy his other present more-- instead of "Halo 3: Combat Evolved," he got "[Holy] Halo 3: Combat Intelligently Designed."

Comments:
At least he didn't get Mario Super Church Supper.

Or Amish Rake Fighters III

BTW - funniest Razor blog entry ever.

Nintendo Wii Shall Overcome

I asked for outdoor lighting for my patio.... like for use on hot summer nights....Restorian Hardware sells some very nice sets.

I got Christmas lights.

HEY Why didn't Santa go to Outdoor Lighting Perspectives for lighting your outdoor living space?????

Just call your nearest OLP person by going to www.Outdoorlights.com A guy will come out and give you a consult and a night time demonstration. Seriously, Our lights are way better than RH, and they last a really long time, AND they do not make your yard look like an landing strip at night.

BUT with Oona's impending arrival, I am sure you have enough to do...

Hey, I thought the Razor didn't allow commercial posts!

Actually, that's a good idea.

Tyd, I am worried that you are going to give Iplawbaby II a complex! Her sister got named after a First Lady, and here you are referring to the poor unborn child by the name of a wife of a film star. Can't we pick another First Lady's name like Ladybird or Eleanor or Edith or Abigail or something?

oops well it was just a suggestion.

Yeah OONA The matter of Oona for some reason I swear I cannot call that kid anything else! OK so let's figure out a NEW Razor name for her.. SO far no one has come up with anything better.

AND hey she was not JUST the wife a a FILM STAR. She was Eugene O'Neil's daughter before she married Charlie Chaplin.. The daughter of a depressed drunken playwright. So she took that Long Day's Journey into Hollywood. How about...
Let's see. There's Martha.. not a good choice.

How about Ladybird? She came after Mamie in real life too!

Ummmm.....No, Jackie came after Mamie, then Ladybird.

But Ladybird is fine. Iplawbaby II's Razor nickname can certainly be Ladybird

Problem: There already is a blogger/student called Ladybird, linked to on the Razor...

Well then Ladybird is out. What about HADLEY?

Hadley is a good one...

but not a first lady

Jackie is a weird name for a baby. I KNOW it came after Mamie... but ...

HOW ABOUT MARY TODD

I(VE got it NOT LADY BIRD:

BABYBIRD

so its Mamie and BABYBIRD

I like it...
