Deep Blue Haiku Friday

For some reason, the cycle of my years has very often been that summer is a sad season of loss, and fall is the season of rebirth. It is that kind of summer, too; the heat has taken the life out of too many things.

The brown yard next door
Calls out to me for water
Brown color of death.

Now it is your turn. Have fun!

Comments:
So unlike Osler
For me summer simply means
Less snow than winter

Sullen dark rainclouds
Loom perpetually now
At the bar exam.

Summer is so fineo
To do the things I most love
All the orca agree.

I spend my summer
Alone in bored in Waco
Cursing the sunshine

Heat beyond reason
August came in June this year
It's a scorcher, folks!

Other grass is brown
Saint Augustine keeps growing
Keep the mower sharp!

Back and forth I go,
Between Fort Worth and Waco.
Job there, wife here. Sucks!

Deep heat, sweating brows
Locked in economic war
Lane and RRL

Marx or Adam Smith.
Who will prevail? I know not
Weight of sword in hand.

(Samurai political economy battle gaiden desu!)

Best summer ever
Growth, change, love because of one
Please don't let it end.

Clearly Waco's first
Inhabitants arrived in
Sweet Spring, not Summer.

'Tis uncivilized
Here nine months out of the year.
Unbearably hot!

How I envy those
Who recline in temperate
Climes. Waco is hell.

RFDIII

It's cooler up north;
Harvard prof's temper heats up
More than their summer.

Dance! Feel dance fever!
O needs to get his groove on!
I will go get him.

The cost of dreaming
To build a new world every night
Then abandon it

A wall of heat moves,
Can you really call that wind?
It sweeps away life.

Magical Summer
Kelly and Jud. They are
getting married soon!

Summer recess means
Politicians going home.
Health reform is dead ...
